A Story from the Pasture

Storybook Pastures

Steadiness in a chaotic world

Meet Clay

The First Chapter of Storybook Pastures

Clay is fifteen years old and quite the little fella.

He doesn’t rush to greet you. He doesn’t demand attention. He simply stands and lets you come to him. There is something comforting about that.

His winter coat grows thick and woolly, his forelock falling into his eyes as he watches the world from a quiet distance. When small hands brush his side, he leans just slightly, as if to say, “That’s just right.”

Clay is steady - Predictable - Safe

But when it comes to food? A little sass appears. He knows exactly where the good grain is and isn’t shy about positioning himself accordingly.  It didn’t take long for the other minis to learn this. It’s part of his charm.

If Storybook Pastures is about finding steadiness in a chaotic world, Clay is where the story begins.

He won’t chase the spotlight. He’ll simply be there -- waiting patiently for you to step into it beside him.

He is one of ours, and we’re grateful for him every single day!
